Perfume Bottle and Stopper. Paris

A Fine perfume bottle and stopper in good condition. The rich, ruby red glass of the core of the perfume bottle is surrounded by a sleeve of clear glass. All is gilt mounted with elaborate scroll work. There are 5 miniatures held in the gilt mount of famous landmarks of Paris. There appears to have been some condensation marks on a couple of these at some point, or it may merely be the ageing of the paper. The lid opens to reveal the stopper in perfect condition and the bottle still holds an aroma of musk perfume. This piece may well have been a high-quality souvenir from a fine shop in Paris. Very evocative of a time of style and high ornament.
